Hey everyone,

As I clean NES games (as well as sell/trade doubles), I want to replace the security screws with something more common, so should the games need to be opened again, it would not be a pain. I still plan on keeping the security screws for collectibility reasons. I'll probably tape them to the inside of the cartridge with some electrical tape.

I am wondering if anyone knows of an online store that sells some sort of fillips (spelling?) or flathead replacement screws for the NES Security screws. I brought one of the security screws to my local hardware store and they told me that it used some sort of proprietary threading, and thus they didn't carry anything.

Thanks

This sounds like BS to me. I've never checked, but aren't the security screws the same threading as the non-security screws? Maybe you can just match to the regular screws that the older carts have.
