I have a LD-700 Laserdisc System.

I have a PX V60 MSX Palcom system.

Trying to play a PALCOM Laserdisc game.

One cable I had fits into a slot on the PX V60 in the "1" slot. I place the other portion of this in a similar cable fitting slot on the LD-700 player (looks like the back of a Genesis 1 cable.

WHat else am I supposed to do? Do I have the AV of the PALCOM on the screen, or the LD player? Am I supposed to press something on the MSX keyboard to get this to start? ANy other connections I am forgetting? Please Help!

I typed CALL LD and all I see on the screen is the demo!

The connection cable is an 8 pin DIN cable and there should be identical connectors on your LD700, as well as on the back of the MSX system. The video you are seeing should be of the MSX computer output itself. Once the program boots, you will see a combination of the MSX video (the foreground on most MSX LD games) and the video background from the LD player. I'm assuming you're playing Astron Belt? If so, you should be able to start the game just by pushing the joystick button. It's been a while since I hooked mine up, but I recall having to connect the video output from the LD700 into the back of my MSX system using RCA connectors. I have several copies of the manual in storage, but it will probably be a week or so until I can get there to grab it. Maybe someone else here has it handy.

I did all that, I guess the problem was the missing joystick in the new PALCOM package I bought. Came new in the box with everything, except a joystick.

Aren't you the guy that has two Halcyons?
