I enjoyed all ten games they've listed so far, so no complaints from me. Well, actually eleven games, since they squeezed UN Squadron and Gradius III together in one spot.

Seems like they're trying to cover every genre, which is good.

I will hold back any praise or complaints until I see part two show up

So far so good....but to me the list is "what was great at the time". Games like Starfox are just too outdated to really enjoy...it might have been amazing back then but this many years later...it's crap. KI is another one...I guess I may be incorrect but I really never liked the game. I played it a few times and went back to SFII...

I will comment on the Super Castlevania comments...I 100% agree that it has one of the best soundtracks ever to be found on the SNES. To this day I hook it up to my system and love how it sounds...what killer music...

On that list my favorites are TMNT IV, Castlevania IV, and Contra 3.

Turtles IV
Gradius III
Legend of the Mystical Ninja (Why oh why couldn't we get the other games in this series!!!)
Aexlay
Zombies Ate My Neighbors
Sunset Riders
Tiny Toons

It all depends on how old you are. If you are a teenager then yes, these old games are crap, as you put it, poor graphics, etc; however if you are an old-timer like me (I am nearly 42), then your youth was spent playing games like these on one platform or another, so they bring back memories. These old games had to rely on powerful gameplay rather than flashy graphics, frankly, modern games are mostly nice looking but have no replay value, whereas old games are the opposite - to me, gameplay is far more important.

For example, games like Defender and PacMan are still played by millions of people, 25 years later; the games are very tiny, about the size of an icon on your computer!

I think I should have explained myself better...(I'm 30 BTW)

Some games stand the test of time...some do not. Games like the Konami titles I listed earlier are still 100% playable today, they were good then and a re still good now. Other's like Starfox have not aged well, to the point where they are almost unplayable they look so bad. There are many games throughout the years that suffer from this, they are often the cutting edge graphics type of games.

In my book, old does not = bad....severely outdated = bad.

Games like Pac Man, Donkey Kong, etc are perfect just the way they are. Although old, they are still as playable and enjoyable as they were many years ago...there are many classic games that fit this title as well...just not Starfox (or any of the other 3D SNES titles for that matter).

I think it is a very good list. I don't disagree with any of them.

Also, I'm not going to say NBA Jam is the best game on the SNES but my brothers and I played so many hours of that game when we were young. Probably our most played game on the SNES in terms of hours.

I agree! The music is Super Castlevania IV is amazing. It's some of the best ever. The pianos, harps, organs, strings, flutes...wow.

Konami, Konami, Konami...Man, I loved their SNES titles...

Overall, I like Konami's NES games better than its SNES games. Super Castlevania IV, Contra III: The Alien Wars, and The Legend of the Mystical Ninja are great. TMNT IV: Turtles in Time and Batman Returns are very good, too. Other than that, I could take it or leave it, although I've never really given Gradius III a chance.

Games like Starfox are just too outdated to really enjoy...it might have been amazing back then but this many years later...it's crap. KI is another one...I guess I may be incorrect but I really never liked the game. I played it a few times and went back to SFII...

I agree about Killer Instinct for the SNES. It was okay, but the Street Fighter II games were much more fun. Killer Instinct Gold for the N64 is far better.

I disagree about Star Fox. I tried it recently and it ran and played better than I thought it would. Star Fox 64 is far better though.

Really? I think 3D SNES games like Pilotwings, F-Zero, and Mario Kart are still great. :)

I think Star Fox is perfectly fine to this day. Yeah, the graphics are ridiculously blocky and simplistic, but so what? The gameplay is still solid. The lack of any game save is kind of annoying, though.

But I would like to join in on the Killer Instinct bashing. I think it's one of the lamest fighting games to ever be popular. It's too much a product of its time; very gimmicky mechanics, and even the graphics seem like a fad. I would put it right in the same category as Primal Rage.

Ouch... that's straight up cold-blooded :p

I was never a big fan of KI, but not too long ago I got a chance to sink my teeth into the SNES port. I enjoyed it plenty. I wouldn't take it over SFII but as an alternative it's pretty solid.

This seems to be the usual respond by veteran gamers. I'm a teenager myself, and pretty much all my friends(gamers or not) have plenty of respect for the classics especially, NES and SNES.

Pretty standard top 10, not too much to complain about.

The only real argument I can make is to swap SMW and Yoshi's Island, other then that no real complaints.

My only 2 complaints are how long it took them to post the second half and how there was nothing unexpected.
