The most recent MLB baseball video game I bought was Major League Baseball 2K6 for the GameCube...which I don't really like. Because of this, I've been playing MVP Baseball 2004 and MVP Baseball 2005 mostly but am considering a new one if I can find one that people would recommend. I don't have the newest systems so if I bought one, it would probably have to be for the PS2. I know of two games that have come out for it...MLB 08: The Show and that other one...Major League Baseball 2008 or something like that. Has anyone played either of these games yet? What are your thoughts? How are the graphics and especially how are the controls? Your thoughts on this would be appreciated.

Definitely The Show 08. While the PS3 version is much better, the PS2 still plays a great game of ball. I'd stay away from the 2K series, they used to be decent but have gone downhill since '05. MVP Baseball 05 from EA was also great, and still considered one of the best ever. But if you want the newest, most up to date, with weekly roster updates, and online play, I'd pick up the show.

I would go with The Show, 2K8 sports has definitely lost its touch in the last few years.
