I remember playing MX VS. ATV unleashed at a friends. So I was like hey, why not go spend $20 and buy that game. So went to my local WAL*FART and bought the game, took it home, popped it in my ps2 and after making a profile, beating a couple average races, and turning off the horrible and bland soundtrack..... I got insanly bored. usually I'll play the game for about 2 weeks. But I haven't even pulled out this game more than 4 times. I have had it for 2 years and it's meh.

So.....what games have you bought and was dissapointed. But you remember it being fun somewhere else?

PS: I typed all this with the wii in under 5 min.

Taiko Drum Master. I think I played it four times after buying it; it's been collecting dust ever since.

Hot Shots Tennis. Played the demo of it at Walmart and was really hyped about it. When I got it home, it was a much shorter game than any of the Hot Shots Golfs and very dull when mastered.

The other one would be Guitar Master 1 or whatever the heck it's called. Seemed way cool at Best Buy, but when I got myself one, I played it for one day and it's been sitting untouched since. BOOOR-RING.

Doesn't count unless you were naked with a towel over your lap.

Ditto on Taiko Drum Master. Played it in the arcades in Japan and loved it. Bought it for PS2 in US, bland and boring. Not to mention it ended up costing me a Sega Nomad.

I was going to quote the earlier post about Taiko Drum Master, but I too first played it in an arcade in Japan, and found it very entertaining while there, and much less so at home. However, I only spent 4 dollars on it from a bargain bin at Sears and it made my girlfriend's day so it was completely worth it. She loved it in Japan and was excited to see it again.
It may not be my best example, but it came with a fun story. Right?
