Have you ever been attracted to a system youv never owned or played before? but not only a system you've never played but a system that didnt sell alot or was a failure? there are two systems like this that for some unexplainable reason have always interested me. 1. the atari Jaguar 2.the sega master system. Ihave never played either of these but I want to buy them both sometime. anyone else like a ssystem for no real reason?

When I saw a Channel F one day at a market, I thought it was cool looking. I didn't know anything about the system. In fact, I hadn't even heard of it before then, but since I collected gaming items, the system looked good, and the games looked like they could be fun, I got it.

i don't know if you could consider the master system to be a failure...i mean, it did have a pretty long lifespan, and was the #2 console (albeit a very distant #2) behind the NES for a few years until the Genesis came out.

SMS applies in my case. I played it a couple times back in the day. About all I remembered of it was that Safari Hunt was so much better than Duck Hunt. Have a decent collection going for it now.
Vectrex was one I didn't even know about until I came to these boards a little over a year ago, but I immediately thought it seemed cool and was pretty unique. The high (for me) startup cost to just outright buy a system kept me away. Then I found a stack of games at goodwill, so I gave in and bought the system.
Everything else I own I had a bit of experience with, except dreamcast. But I'm not all that into DC, I just sort of have it in case I 'need' it or something.

Neo Geo AES/MVS. I've never had the chance to play one, minus playing Bust-A-Move on my dad's old MVS cabinet and a few others on emulators. Sadly the MVS was sold out of it, as all my father wanted was the cabinet, and I didn't have time to gather the $500 he would've sold the cabinet to me for. Although, he gave me just the cabinet sans monitor for my birthday because he gave up on converting it to MAME.
Anyways, the AES/MVS has just always seemed like the perfect system for me to own. I love arcade style games, and, well, an AES is just the arcade MVS moved to a console. And I'd rather have it over a Neo Geo CD simply because I prefer carts. Although, having the CD to play *cough* backups would be nice....

Considering the bulk of my childhood gaming revolved around the 16 bit era I was amazed I hadn't even heard of this system as a kid. The only thing I really knew about it was that it had a load of shooters and military madness. I'm terrible at Shooters and can often only get to the 2nd stage if that, however I have an unquavering need to buy and repeatedly play them. Anyways, yes thats it. :D

For me it would be the SMS also. I never played one as a kid and barely remeber it, but for some reason I really want one now.

Neo CD. It's the only version of the NeoGeo that I've never owned. Personally, I think they look very cool. If only the games were 100% perfect MVS/AES conversions; but they're not.
If the system had been designed properly, and received direct perfect conversions of all MVS/AES titles I'd be well in there.
