Hey to all the people that haven't bought Call Of Duty 4 for the 360, Game Crazy has it on sale for 39.99 and you get Call Of Duty 3 for free. I know part 3 isn't that good but what the hell it's free.

I'd imagine they're trying to dump as many copies as possible before the Game of the Year edition hits soon. Either way, my Gamecrazy is on the way out (it was 50% off last time I stopped by, I need to check back by there and see if they're still limping along).

Lies, Call of Duty 3 was pretty damn fun. Its main drawback was the inclusion of QTEs / forced motion control segments (depending on the release you played) that just did not feel "right". Other than that, the level design and scripting was pretty solid. One of the better WW2 first person shooters, though compared to the other Call of Duty games it wasn't quite as good as United Offensive or Big Red One.
I'm playing through Call of Duty 4 right now and I fucking love it. Took Infinity Ward ...what...5 games to finally churn out a really good title? But god damn did they knock it out of the park with CoD4. Hell, even the "defend this point for X amount of time / vs Y waves of enemies" portions are done in such a way that they're interesting and fun. Pacing is phenomenal, voice acting is excellent, presentation is top notch, etc etc etc. Fucking solid game.
Only $40 for both games? Absolute steal. Nab a Platinum Choice copy of Big Red One while you're at it and nerd out hardcore with the CoD over a long weekend.

Am I the only person that doesn't have a Gamecrazy nearby? I keep hearing about all these incredible deals there but I've never even seen a GC store before.
I'm surrounded by Gamerush stores but that doesn't mean much anymore.
Poofta!

You really arn't missing out. Every one i've ever dealt with has had shit employees (and this is in mutiple states) and high used prices. I was able to get Time Ace for the DS at one (the only store i've ever seen that game in) but on a whole, i've never had good experiences from them.
CoD3 wasn't a game that made me smile. It's got way more invisible walls than it should, the whole 'jump' function was a waste when you couldn't even jump up/on/over anything. Its issues with forcing you to watch the beginning of the level FMV's on a reloading of a save thats well into a level was a bad call as well. Treyarch really didn't do things that made me love its take on WW2. I'm really not jumping in anticipation for CoD5 (which they are doing, and will be another WW2 game).

It's got all of the collector's edition content but at a nice, cheap price. :)

So far I've enjoyed Grey Matter and Treyarch's takes on WW2 better than either 2015, Infinity Ward, Spark Unlimited, EALA, or TKO Software's versions. Perhaps not as much as Illusion Softworks' Hidden & Dangerous games, but United Offensive, Big Red One, and Call of Duty 3 seemed to overall balance the scripting, AI, and level design a lot better than the other companies tackling the Call of Duty and Medal of Honor series.
Well ok, United Offensive suffered from a few levels that were just too drawn out (the B-17 mission started off hot and just got kind of "ugh" while the house defense mission went on about twice as long as it needed to), but they tweaked 'em, spiced 'em up, cut 'em down, and made 'em better (especially the bomber mission in BRO).
'course, none of that shit holds a candle to how much Infinity Ward improved in Call of Duty 4. I mean, that AC-130 mission is just absolutely fucking tits.
Still, I'm really looking forward to seeing how they handle the pacific theater in Call of Duty 5. Will it be as good as Pacific Assault or will it just be a derivative pile of shit like Rising Sun? Will it be a pleasant surprise like Deadly Dozen: Pacific Theater or are we looking at the next WWII Iwo Jima? I really, really hope they show the same evolution as IW, because that'd just totally rock.
