i am really pissed, i have not found anything good at the local goodwill for like a year. I go in today and see nothing like usual, im like what the heck, ill look through the music cds, im browsing and i see blast lacrosse, im like no it cant be, i almost started celebrating in the store. The case was pretty clean, i open it up and there is no disc, i went stiff and dropped the case on the floor. Not really but i was pissed. The manual was mint as well. I was like **** my life. I asked the kid there and he said someone must of stole it as i figured. what moron would want only the disc, when the game complete only cost 2.99.

So anyways i bought the case and manual with no disc for 2.99, and im just gonna sell it to someone who needs it, or its going to ebay. Anyone interested?

Protip:

Same thing happens to me all the time.

You should have tried checking inside of ALL of the other cases in the music cd section.

One such time I remember is when I grabbed some Tony Hawk game for PS1 last year only to find there was no disc in the case. I took about 15 minutes, looked through probably 50 of the other cd (and game) cases in that section of Goodwill, to find the Tony Hawk in a Britney Spears cd case.

You get morons that switch cases and discs like that all the time. Some do it to either get a case with a lower price tag on front (i.e. $1.99 versus $2.99) or to get a case that isn't cracked. Makes no sense, but it happens.

I'm still beating myself up over the five or so copies of this that were at a local Gamestop for months... and not buying them because I thought it was a cheapy dollar title. ;_;

the good thing is, i bought the empty case, so no one else will know it was there, i might go back tomorrow and see if i can find the disc.

I was in a rush, thats why i did not search.

Its a real longshot, someone probably stole it, but i might go check anyway,\
With the price of gas it costs frickin $10 to drive a couple miles, lol.

It does not make sense to steal it. the game is worth double the value of the disc if complete, why not pay 2.99? If i saw the thief face to face, i would kick their ass literally.

Sorry im just babbling in anger, ill stop now, thanks for the moral support!

We've all been there at some point or another. I was looking through a stack of CDs at a thrift today and spotted a GH Mega Man Legends for PSX marked at $3... or so I thought. I pulled it out to discover that both the disc and manual were missing (though it may not have been donated with the manual). Inspected the other CDs and the rest of the store, but the disc was nowhere to be found. Oh well.

they said at the goodwill, they check every case to make sure the disc is there, or it does not hit the shelves. At least thats what they say.

The same thing happened to me last week at a salvation army. I never find any games there but decided to stop in and check around anyway. I look through all the cds and find one playstation game "Contra-Legacy of War", I pull it out and the manual and disc are missing.

Last week I returned to my local Good Will to buy the Mortal Kombat music cd that had been sitting there for a week or so. Just my luck it was gone. So I checked in the music cd section and I found it...well, parts of it. The back part of the cd case was present, but both the disc and the entire front part of the case was missing. I searched pretty thouroly thru shelves of cd's hoping I'd find atleast the front part of the case. But it was all in vain because I never found it.

I've never been to a Goodwill where there wasn't at least one CD game where the disc was missing.

I've never been to a Goodwill where there wasn't at least one CD game where the disc was missing.

At my main Good Will they usually have the video game cd's locked in a case. But the same cannot be said for the cd section. So as soon as someone takes out a game from the game case, walks around with it and decides to leave it in the cd section--all hell breaks loose and it's only a matter of time before it's no longer complete.
