Well, I modded my regular fc to have AV and haven't noticed anything. So yeah, specific games?

Ninja Gaiden I, if you keep using your sword 8 times out of 10, i notice a glitchy spite around the area when the sword extents

BattleToads, on the second level when the toads are going down the hole, then rope has a glitch. The sprites that make up the yellow rope is not a solid straight line.

Now the above games are NES, so i used my converter to play them on my famicom. If i play them on my NES, i dont see any of the glitches.

Your converter is probably the issue. Have you noticed any glitches while playing Famicom games?

i have both the famicom version of SMB3, and the NES version, both do the same glitch. when you hit a "?" block the coin pops up and after that you get the score points 100, you notice the glitch there when the 100 is being displayed, and when you pop a leaf out of a "?" block when it falls down to the ground you notice the sprite glitch there as well.

I have ninja gaiden one and battletoads (both famicom games) coming so i can further test for this annoying sprite glitch.

You sure your carts are not dirty ? Most offen that can be the problem when running nes carts through a adapter on a famicom.

I have, had same problem that you mention untile i gave the cart a good cleaning.

Cleaning the cart connector helps as well, when cleaning the cart isn't enough.

I also have an AV Famicom and have never run into anything like what you're describing there. I'd say likeliest suspects are the connectors.

thats a thought that has crossed my mind, but i look at the game's connectors and well they are clean, but i do see some streak marking on them. I really doubt its those streaks. but i might as well clean them. And on the AV famicom.

On all games that i play on my AV famicom i notice this sprite glitch, although its not that bad, the game is playable, but the main character's sprite isnt as crisp as on my regular NES. I thought this sprite glitch was the norm for AV famicoms, but after reading the remarks of some of the forums users, its not.

If i play The Guardian Legend on my Twin Famicom (via ntsc2pal converter) i have a lot more glitches than on a regular pal NES, i think these adaptors may be the problem.

double check, but the famicom games look clean, and so do the game slot pins on the console itself.

i notice my AC adapter doesnt look like it might be the original. Its a NEC AC [Japaneses characters]

input: AC100V 50/60Hz 12VA
output: DC 9V 650mA

inside of the connector is negative, outside is positive.

Anybody have an original power supply from nintendo to compare.

The original Famicom PSU is rated 10VDC, 850 mA. The PC Engine PSU you're using should work just fine on the Famicom.

Hmh, if my Twin Famicom runs with something a little bit under 7,6 Volt,
there are a lot more glitches !

That's because your Twin Fami isn't getting enough voltage to run properly. Generally if you run a system with too little voltage or amperage, it'll have problems running correctly.

so i now got ninja gaiden (famicom) and it does the same thing. Battletoads in some areas (though not the on the rope, 2nd level). Crisis Force intro scene is glitchly as well, like all the sprites on the screens are refreshing and it goes in a cycle.

It could be my power supply like danielscheil's. Anybody know or have an original power supply they want to sell me? HVC-002 model? ebay has one for like 40 bucks, more than half of the price i paid for my AV famicom.
