I posted a want ad a few months ago, and I got this response a couple days ago. Local fellow liquidating his Dreamcast collection. I missed Chaos Field, Trizeal, Rez, Bangai-O, but I'm happy with what I did find.

Shenmue II PAL
Headhunter PAL
Guilty Gear X JP
Frame Gride JP
bleem! Metal Gear Solid
bleem! Gran Turismo 2
Starlancer
Confidential MIssion
House of the Dead
Tech Romancer
Soul Calibur
Virtual On
Sonic Adventure 2
MDK2
The Last Blade 2
Resident Evil: Code Veronica
Resident Evil 2
Dynamite Cop
D2
Capcom vs SNK
Sega Bass Fishing (I think it's broken)
Timestalkers

All for $250 CDN. Did I do reasonably well?

Sorry, I know I posted this in the finds, I just wanted to make sure it was seen. I don't normally dump $250 like that, but I'm pretty sure I got a decent deal. I just want to be reassured, you know, to combat any buyers (spenders) remorse!

Thanks :P

I think you may have overpaid by quite a bit. I think $100 would've been fair. Maybe $150.

Really? But I did the math by averaging the outcomes of some ebay auctions for each game and then tacking some s&h on... err...

I also had a vague idea of what it would cost for the games at the local store......

Shit, then I didn't realise that most of the games are cheaper in lots?

=/

In my opinion, $250 is more or less a good price. Some of those games go for $30-$40 on eBay, and if they're all complete, you did quite well.

Although you got some good games in there, they should have come at a cheaper price considering you bought them in a lot. For that price you should have gotten a Dreamcast thrown in as well. But if you ever sell all of them, sell them individually and you should atleast make all of your money back.

Depending on market fluxuation.

Truthfully, from a B+M standpoint it's about average. If I were to visit a local reseller it'd hit somewhere in the $150-300 range. Really depends on the store as some charge an arm and a leg over imports while others don't.

Oh well, I feel okay about it. Shenmue II is the one I really wanted. As for a Dreamcast being tossed in as well though, I already have 4. =/

Truthfully, if you were willing to just pay that price on impulse instead of holding off and researching then obviously you wanted the lot. Nothing to be ashamed about if you enjoy and appreciate what you have. :)

The selection there is great and solid titles. Of the ones listed I owned, easily paid $5-15 a piece because I wanted them, not to hold out for that "free" or $1 deal.
