I just got one from ebay and thought it was spam or a joke but it is legit. I had an auction where seller didn't deliver and they sent me a $25 coupon to make up for my "pain and suffering". The $5 auction was refunded to me by paypal but I never saw this before. Anyone get this before or is it the new "ebay" that is trying to keep long time buyers/sellers?

Never heard of them myself but I could use a couple for all the buyers that have been shafting me lately.

Buyers shafting? This hasn't been a problem for me. Now sellers trying to ram a broomstick up my ass, that's a different story. Waiting over 10 days to ship, not sending items at all, sending items with no packing, selling used items as new...it seems to never end.
I deserve a "courtesy coupon" too.

same here. so many non-paying buyers lately. Certainly not as bad as a bad seller, but still damn annoying.

Its like service has gone down the drain and their trying to buy some loyalty. Maybe a bribe to smooth things over before all changes go into effect???

Especially after you wait the 10 days or whatever so you can file a complaint, then wait the 7 days or whatever to recover your final value fees (the deadbeat never even replies to the damn message). By that time the second, third, fourth, etc. bidders have already usually purchased the item from another seller and are no longer interested so second chance offers are worthless. So then it's a relist and another week waiting for that one to run out and end. :bad-words:

Exactly, I've now been through this THREE times with one stupid LoZ OoT cart/manual. That's over six weeks of selling the same game over again!

I got one of these as well, but for $100! I thought it was a scam but it was completely legit and I used it.

So what exactly is this coupon? Is it a credit that goes towards your ebay selling account? Or do you actually get $100 off an ebay purchase? I've never received one or heard of it before this thread.

You actually get $100 off on ebay purchase when you check out through Paypal. There is a code that comes in the e-mail and you put it in under "promotion code" in the Paypal payment. Like I said, it seemed like a scam phishing e-mail but it was 100% legit. I basically got $100 worth of stuff for free :)

I thought it was a scam too. I waited so I could check it out a lil more. Used the one in the email when I did paypal checkout and it worked. I guess I'm not big enough buyer/seller to get the $100 or $500 paypal cash LOL
