I bought a new XBOX 360 because I wanted one with HDMI and plan on selling my old one. Now my question is what is the best way to handle this situation with the HD's. I want my old game saves, arcade games, etc but I heard that simply swapping the new HD with the old one can cause problems accessing the arcade games and old saves. Something to do with HD's and the consoles having some intimate relationship with one another. Also I don't want the new owner using my live account and my credit card. Advice and any shared knowledge is greatly appreciated, thanks.

I think you are supposed to use the HD Transfer system that MS sells. I am going to be in your shoes here soon when I get my new Elite!

Even with the transfer cable any games you paid for will only be fully playable if connected to live or they credit you and you redownload all you purchased games. If disconnected they show up as trials. If they are 20 gigs swap it will make no difference., I recently bought a used 120gb and called ms and they shipped a transfer cable and disc out.

Here's a link for info and the process to get a migration kit. I recently moved my files from my 20g to my 120g. It was pretty painless, but you may want to read the fine print about arcade titles and stuff.
