They modded a guitar hero controller to work as a real instrument. Not with strings, Just the way it is.. Its like a keyboard that you have to strum.

I can't hear it at work either. Does it play notes or chords when you strum?

Prefering the real thing myself...I'd never gotten into Guitar Hero. So untill a couple months ago I just assumed that's what it was anyways. Just a little dissapointed when I learned the truth.

Apparently there are no open chords or strings, But it all depends on which buttons you are pressing down. There aren't any 4 button or 5 button chords though.
