Here is the dinosaur egg. I finally dug it out and took some pictures for those Turok fans who have asked. I tried to keep it intact but the chocolate egg imploded. The pieces were moldy so I threw them out. I kept the wrapper and the box. I doubt there are very many of these left anywhere. Not only was it a rare item to start with but people ate them and threw out the box.
Don't bother sending offers as this one has been SOLD !

Yeah, icky. Some things are just not meant for collecting. 10 year old chocolate probably qualifies.

I can't stop laughing. I'm happy you saved the box/wrapper, but mystified that you didn't toss the choco-explodo-bits earlier. *adds "don't save chocolate" to list of NEVER EVER DO THIS activities*

You'd think even the most hardcore collectors would put "Don't keep rotting food in the house" above "Must have video game stuff" on their list.

Hehe now I am trouble recalling the exact sequence of events that led to "moldy dino egg extraction"
I bought the egg with a stash of Turok promo items from someone on the project.
Anyway I think when it arrived it was imploded and I threw out the pieces that day. I think it may have happened during the shipment. It came in a lot with the claw and a jacket I never saw before. Man its been so long I dunno know if I kept the egg and it imploded on me or if it arrived imploded. But yeah I have some other "food items" and most I did not throw out. I know other collectors here have them too. Now that would be a good thread !
Anyway here is the non-edible jacket

I still have a sealed boogerman promo gummy boogers stashed away somewhere so obviously I don't think that way either. Also one of my genesis games still has the original fruit roll-up in it and I have multiple old garbage pail kid sealed packs and those have some good 20+ year old gum in it.

Speaking of first aid kits, I have a press kit for the short lived fox series "The Pitts" that looked like a first aid kit too bad the whole thing reeks of garlic since the kit contains a vampire protection pack that had a peice of garlic in it.

They show up fine for me.
I once sold some cartoon character gumball despensers from the 60's on ebay. They were unopened and had funny looking gumballs with it. A few were exploded. I thought it wise to add the disclaimer that the gumballs should no longer be eaten.

No problem at all. I suspect a university server with sites locked down, a router configuration doing the same, or some kind of image blocking in their browser. It's definitely a problem on their end.

That's pretty interesting. Can't say that I've ever tried to hunt down food promos for games...but the stories that go along with them kinda have to be funny given the material that is there.

I like the idea of a videogame food promo thread. I should pull out all the promo food and take pics.
I know I have a Toe Jam and Earl chocolate record!
I mean who else has that! HUH!

I will only buy this if you get it professionally graded first.
In regards to the collecting/eating/storing of the old candy didn't we have a thread not to long about about people who were eating the incredibly old Fruit Rollups that were in their Genny games? And you people say BuyAtari has a problem?

I once accidentally kept a few pieces of Wrigley's spearmint gum in my jacket pocket for three years. I gave a piece to a friend of mine who said it tasted like battery acid.
