Well. I saw like.. dozens of different box variations of FF7 for PC.
In UK looks like there was a Eidos published rectangular box with a quadriple jewel box and cd's inside.
In USA there was a trapezoid box with a foldout cardboard cd holder. But hell i also saw a blank rectangular box with only a "squaresoft" on it and a UK-like jewel box but cd's were with different printing. So.. WTF? How many are there and what is original? What is this Squaresoft USA box maybe it's a bootleg or square actually were publishing game by themselves at the beginning?

I'm from Sweden and have the first ("UK") one, bought at the local video game store.

Yup, I've seen the US, Platinum, and "cheapass" versions before. Actually, I thought the cheap version had different artwork, but I didn't pay much attention to it.

Since this unknown edition has the same artwork as the cheap version, perhaps they originated from the same publisher? Maybe you should look into what other games are published in those black, white, and yellow "PC Game" DVD cases.

Strange is that this unknown cardboard version looks very authentic. But where is Eidos?? hmm. Cheap releases all came as "platinum" or in cheap dvd cases. And this one looks cool, but i cannot even understand when it was made. Could it be made by squaresoft themselves? Who knows. I don't know

The unknown cardboard version has no rating. It's not American, European, or Asian... I smell bootleg.

That Euro cheapass version on a DVD case is incredibly common on eBay. I never see it get sold. But if you sell one of the US versions... hoo boy. I've made a lot of money with 'em. :)
