Gamasutra is reporting that Stormfront Studios will be closing down. The developer last worked on the game version of The Spiderwick Chronicles, published by Sierra. Stormfront's recent development history includes The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, Forgotten Realms: Demon Stone and Eragon.

GameDaily BIZ has contacted Stormfront via phone and email to confirm the closing. Stormfront's main business phone, however, does not appear to be active, which is not a positive sign for the developer.

Bummer, they developed some pretty good games over the years. Then again, they also made the titanically terrible piece of shit, "Pool of Radiance: Ruins of Myth Drannor" that I got suckered into buying based on the earlier PoR PC game and Stormfront's legacy. Bought the god damn LE, too....christ.

But hey, their Two Towers game and Demon Stone were much fun.
