Anyone who has played Lufia 2 for the snes knows that it is rife with bugs (for instance, when scrolling through the character stats, it doesn't properly refresh things if a name is shorter than the previous one, and of course, the famous glitch at the end of the 100 level dungeon). In my discussions with some snes fans, there are rumours that a version of Lufia 2 with the bugs fixed exists. If someone has a copy of this, it should be easy to confirm, as the stamp on the back label should have an Axx (where xx is a number). I was wondering if anyone has run into this version.

A bugfixed version does NOT exist, the game had a very very very small print run and was never revised.

I don't know about the bug fix, but that game doesn't seem that hard to find, are you sure it's that small of a print run?

How about the crappy battery save issue, was that a bug?

I tried playing through this game twice within the past year with a perfectly fine working CR2032 battery, and both times my progress was deleted. The second time was brutal too, because I was 17 hours into the game...

as for another bug, go into the configuration menu and mess around a bit, sometimes you can really scrw up your game data, changing stats who's in your party etc etc (forgot the exact option you had to toggle)

it was a pretty low print run near the end of the snes's life, and it didn't sell very well to boot.

therre is a patch for the rom to fix it on the internet, I magine you could burn a cart with that patch.
