During the last few months I was able to sell a Super Nintendo with some games for over $60 or so. ( I sold like 4 for $60 ) Now I post on craigslist and I get offers for $30 or so. Did the demand go down for a Super Nintendo? One other question do you prefer the second model to the first as well as does it matter if its yellow to you or not?
Thanks for the time spent reading my questions.

I don't usually sell on craigslist but I'm pretty sure that any buyer that looks there knows to lowball on their offers.

It's a mixed lot on CL. I sell systems on there pretty often and I usually put up prices on the definite high side of fair. Most people then lowball, and I expect these are mostly ebay re-sellers. Some people make a fair offer, and then every now and then someone will just buy it. Not everyone on CL is exactly computer savvy and looks up prices on ebay before buying. The most common people to pay my high list price (and mind you, that means a shipped eBay price to me) are women buying a NES or SNES with a mario game or two. I suspect this may be what happened with your string of SNES sales?

It all is pretty random, though. Lately for me I haven't been able to sell a gamecube at all. I think Wiis must finally be getting out there. Is $35 really too much for a cube w/ controller, memory card, and game? The used shops sell 'em for 30 w/out a memory card or game. I guess I just sorta like the cube in general, so maybe value it more than it is worth.

Has spring come to your area? Maybe people are going outside instead of buying games?

i think the best way to sell a cube these days is with a game boy player...

Well I had the problem of selling them with sports games. Though the last few days I have found Zelda, Mario Kart, Super Mario World, and Pilotwings for $5 basically. I know add those games and I can sell at the price I want.

I prefer that a system is not yellowed. Alot of collectors will also prefer a non discolored console.

Yep, that's the way to go. Find a "milestone" game for the system and you're gold. An NES system can sell for $20, but bundle it with SMB/DH and it's now worth $45. I've done it many times.

Oddly, this only really works for classic systems. You can bundle a newer system with any old crap games and it will up it's price easily. I've done that many times to. That's where the outdated Maddens come in handy!

The only time it doesn't work is with sega genesis. I can't sell those for anything. Even with sonic or what not I could only sell it for under $20.
