To make a long story short, this money would not be for my purposes, but for those of my mother, who has gotten herself into a real financial bind by leaving her most recent employment before her contract stipulated she could...leading to the mandatory repayment of all wages and moving expenses, which, as you can imagine, totals an egregious sum.

Anyway, I don't have a great deal and I'll post the full list when I get home, but this is what I know I have off the top of my head:

I'd REALLY rather not have to do this, but there is little other choice. She'll lose her house and her land if the family can't scrape together enough to work on a down payment for the penalty.

its hard to judge a price based on just numbers, you really need to list the games before anyone can harken a guess

Yeah, I just wanted to get this up so that people would know in advance.

As I pointed out, it isn't much and is mostly worthless, but I have to do something.

hmm, ff7 is currently still hitting bizzarely high prices on egay right now (50+) a few decent things in your pile overall, but thats the one stand out item from a quick look, but you could easily get a few hundred for what you have there in a pinch. just caught marvel vs capcom 2, thats another money game (70+)

If you don't mind me asking what was your mom doing for work? Just wonder because even at the cbs station I work at the higher ups get pissed off if someone breaks contract but as long as they aren't leaving for another tv station they don't do much.

Nice lot man. When I saw your post without the titles my first thought was "not much", but you've got quality games there. Your best bet is to just search completed listings through ebay, and don't sell in lots unless it's to bundle a few key games with systems or group sequels. I do a lot of buying and selling and this is key to making the most for what you have.

Here are a few that stand out for me based on prices I've gotten.

NES system with Mario 123 $75
Double Dragon 123 $20-$30
Dragon Warrior 1234 $80-$120 (I got $300, so flukes happen)
Final Fantasy $10-$15
Zelda 12 $15-$20
Zelda Outlands you could probably find someone on here who would give you $25
Super C $12
Sealed Aladdin set probably find someone here to give you $60+
a number of the other games in there are easy $5-$10 games

Playstation 2 system $60
Marvel vs Capcom 2 $70-$90
none of the other games stick out much, but you could probably get ~$15 for both Castelvanias and a decent amount for the Dynasty Warriors lot

Gamecube system $20-$30
Zelda CE $35
Smash Brothers $20
Twilight Princess $30

Castlevania Chronicles $35
Castlevania SOTN $30-$50
Final Fantasy 7 $50-$75
Final Fantasy Tactics $30
the rest of the FF go for around $5-10
Vandal Hearts $20

My mother is an ASQ certified quality manager and she went to work for a company that has nothing to do with her former employer's market niche. They're apparently just extremely stringent in their contractual agreements.

And, as it turns out, she was able to secure a loan for the amount, so I no longer need to sell anything...at the moment, at least. I appreciate everyone's input, so thank you.

It's good to hear she got a loan for it. It would be tough to do but I know I'd do it in an instant for my wife, sister or mom as well (sister and mom are my only living immediate family, otherwise a few others would've done it for too).

Unfortunately, I may now need to do this for myself...I'm seriously considering paying off the last of my personal debt by selling all of my extraneous possessions because I am beginning to worry about future financial security.

I may put up some of this stuff here at DP first, so ya'll can have first crack at it.
