Using a Hori stick on a PS3 to play PS1/2 games

Is it possible to use the new Hori stick (Real Arcade Pro 3), on a PS3, with PS1 and PS2 games? I ask because it's USB. If not, would using the Real Arcade Pro 2 with a USB adapter work? If the latter, would that work with PS3 games?

Yes, I use my Hori ps3 for my ps2 games. But if you mean, can you plug a hori ps3 stick into the ps2's usb port and use it, then probably not. I haven't tried it with ps1 games yet.

Yeah it works. I tried it on Bushido blade just now.

Good question. Does the PS3 stick work on the PS2 if plugged into the PS2's USB port or would that damage the PS2? I'm just curious since I've been thinking of getting another PS2 joystick.
