I've got a question about all these downloadable add ones(Extra Guitar Hero Songs, new maps, and the like) that you can buy on Xbox Live and the Playstation online store(whatever its called.) In the future after these "add ons" have been removed from the store, how will they be obtained?

a good chunk of them are already in the game, you just pay to unlock them, but the few that are actually new content you'll be pretty shit out of lluck till someone comes up with a way to host the data and transfer it in some format, (ie eventualy a cheat device will make those ones unlockable for the ones already on the disks like say lost odessy and blue dragon)

or perhaps down the road whatever companies have the content might consider releasing it on disks (similar to some of the xboxlive compliiation disks that have come out here and there)

Just out of curiosity how long are you wondering about? I realize its only been a few years since the xbox was discontinued, but I got mine in december and all my games that had downloadable content still had it available. If you're worried about a few years, I wouldn't. If you are wondering in 20 years when the xbox360 becomes the same age as the NES is now, then maybe you have something to be concerned about.

On the plus side though, I'm pretty sure that everything through both networks are hosted on either Sony's or Microsoft's Servers... not scattered all over the place on a companies server that is going out of business. With the cost of storage now there is little reason for Microsoft or Sony to even remove the old downloads. It costs them practically nothing to leave it up. I guess time will tell, but to be sure, download all you can... well the free stuff anyway.

Yea, I was thinking around the same age NES is now. I was thinking along what Blitzwing said, possibly some transfer device that have the extras already in them, or maybe a website that host the saves with the data on them?
