I tried to sell a boxed one and nobody wanted to offer more than a buck for it.

My dad traded a Spectrum in for a 99/4a back in the day. The 99/4a no longer works, but the box is in great shape. That's the reverse of your situation, heh.
Anyway, probably not much right now. Just hold onto it for now, if you're willing to waste a little space on it.

I swear I replied to this last night but maybe I forgot to submit it. A TI-99/4A with a decent box with the insert is worth $10-$20 if you can sell it to someone face to face. The problem is that if you have to ship it, it becomes almost valueless. If it were mine and I wasn't going to any videogame shows to sell it at I would put it on Craiglist for $20.

I put $10 on one at OVGE a couple of years ago and couldn't sell it. I saw a boxed one for $5 at a thrift and left it just because I already had several and couldn't sell them when I tried.

It saddens me that there's not enough love for the ol' 99'er. :bawling:It just wasn't thought of as a games computer like the other machines on the market at the time. It did have good games for it, but they were hampered by the machine's oddball motherboard design that slowed the damn thing down to a crawl.
