View Full Version : Co-op Live Gaming (Xbox 360) - Looking for Recommendations!

I've been playing a bunch of Live games online with a friend of mine who has moved out of town a ways. We've spent many an evening playing through Army of Two, Halo 3 and Rainbow Six Vegas 2 - but now we need a new game!

Any recommendations that come to mind for 360 titles that are good for two (or more) players to play co-op through Live? We're not too into console deathmatch/ctf kinda things. And a game or two that doesn't involve guns might be a good change of pace ;)

I've also noticed it's a pain to get local players and remote players mixed into the same game, is it just me?

Well looks like it's a much shorter list than I'd hoped.

Ghost Recon 2: Advanced Warfighter has been fun on co-op...

If you're into 2d shooters, ikaruga could fit the bill...

Earth Defense Force 2017 has a fun co-op option. I didn't see it in that Wiki list either. A buddy of mine and I have been grinding through the levels; it's quite fun and addictive to boot.

Only gripe, seems we're stuck using a vertical split screen when a horizontal would make it so much easier to see...

I haven't been able to play it online and lag free. local multiplayer works great though.

My favorite so far has been N+. Short but sweet!

EDF does not have XBL supported Co-Op. What he is looking for is done via XBL.

Add to possibilities (all be them not great ones) Crackdown, and Kaine & Lynch. I never had much luck with Crackdown online. It was always laggy as hell.

You can do RockBand as well.

If you extend this to include XBLA titles, you've got Assault Heroes and Smash TV.

One thing I'd like to know: why can't someone just make a really good action RPG that's playable over live? Two Worlds and Kingdom Under Fire were both epic failures

I've noticed Eternal Sonata has a multiple player option that I haven't looked into yet. Still looks like Multiplayer on the same console though.

Crackdown I picked up recently in the $5 bin, we'll try that. I didn't get into the single player much for the 20 minutes I've given it so far.

I've almost caught the dragon! Just one more step!

Crackdown just... didn't click for me. We'll try it again co-op though.

I'm starting to realize there just isn't much in the way of options. This makes me a saaad panda.

Not the epic you're looking for, but Arkadian warriors is a fun little Diablo clone.
