amiga cd 32 CD DRIVE

i was wondering if anyone help me trouble shoot and see if the cd rom has been damaged after my power supply meltdown
i stick an a cd and it doesn't do anything

i also wonder if maybe when i spliced the power supply i need to ground the brown cable in side the orginal 4 pin connector
