I'm trying to figure out a reasonable schedule for everything I have to do yet this year... School in summer and fall, work of course, vacation with the girly in Mexico, etc. etc. etc... And something I've realized is I'm going to be in a video gaming time deficit pretty soon...

Still, there are a pretty significant number of games coming out this year that I'm going to have to find time to play. A few of the standouts:

Street Fighter IV I probably don't need to explain this one.

Bionic Commando this is mostly on here for nostalgia. I think it could be good: the art and design stuff I've seen is great, and Capcom has an excellent track record this last generation.

Metal Gear Solid 4 ... Another one I don't need to explain.

Soul Calibur 4 When Anna and I go to the local arcade/family fun center, I usually end up rocking the SC 3 cabinet until I run out of time and we need to leave. I love me some Soul Calibur, and nevermind the green jedi midgets this time around.

Disgaea 3 I lost hundreds of hours with the first two, so I assume I'll be doing the same here.

What games are you willing to make time for this year, regardless of schedule?

Grand Theft Auto IV
Metal Gear Solid 4 (if I can secure time on a PS3 of course)
Gran Turismo 5 (see above)
Gears of War 2
New Castlevania DS game

Not much else I can think of ATM

Mario Kart Wii
Disgaea 3
Final Fantasy IV DS

I can't think of anymore off the top of my head. Not really a big fan of fighters and the last Grand Theft Auto game I put any time into was GTA2.

Gears of War 2
Ninja Gaiden 2

Everything else, outside of the slim to no chance of RE5 arriving this year, can wait.

Mario Kart Wii
GTA IV
Street FighterIV

There is also Dragon Quest IX (DS) my most anticipated game in a long time. Although I have no idea if this is a 2008 title.

None at all. I usually use the time to do something completely different anyway and then suddenly get the urge to play something else or so.... Though I might put a few hours into GTA4/WiiFit in the coming days...

I plan to make this summer all about GTA4 and Ninja Gaiden 2 - no drought this year!

And I'm making space on my schedule for both Bionic Commando Rearmed and the full priced, new version.

GTA4, Smash Bros Brawl, Fallout 3, Soul Calibur 4, Fable 2. Hopefully I'll be able to retrospectively add Sonic Unleashed to this list in a few months' time, but experience has taught me not to hold my breath. :|

Grid is at the top of my gaming list this year... I wanna see how it compares to Dirt... and make more use of the expensive new graphics card that I had to buy just to be able to play Dirt... it will be good to finally own more than one game that requires it, considering how many other upgrades it forced me into... I ended up spending $1000 just to make my PC capable of playing Dirt, and all the other games to follow it with similar or even higher requirements...

Any games I find in the clearance pile this year. I can't bring myself to pay $49.99 - $59.99 per game anymore when I don't get my money's worth out of most of them.

Mostly I'm looking to play a lot of games I missed last year and earlier. I may consider GTA, and I want to pick up Okami. I may also get Mario Kart, but I don't think that will be a big time consumer. There is not much on the horizon that interests me much.

Brothers in Arms - Finally made time for this one this past weekend after promising for months to give it a look. Completely surprised me and I loved it despite some nagging problems (mostly bugs that remained in the Xbox version); not at all what I thought it was going to be like and much better than a bulk of WW2 first person shooters available. Currently makin' time for Earned in Blood, which isn't quite up to snuff with Road to Hill 30...but it's about damn time I gave the series a shot. Can't wait for Hell's Highway.

Baten Kaitos - One of those games I bought years ago but never got around to playing. Wound up playing through the first one a few months ago and enjoying it, so I decided to try to make some time for the sequel later on in the year. Well later wound up being about 2 weeks ago and for the most part I really like it...but god DAMN is it hard. Other than the fairly high level of difficulty (especially compared to most other console RPGs now a days), it's a vast improvement over the first and its got one of the most enjoyable RPG battle systems I've seen in a while. Now to just make time to finish the darn thing.

Killer 7 - People have been raving for this for a while and back when Capcom first announced it, it was one of the Gamecube games I was most looking forward to. Between the first announcement, the many many many delays, eventual release, and my purchase of it, I've just kinda fallen into a funk of not being in the mood to actually fire it up. This year I will, though!

Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops - I'll start and finish this game before June 12th, damnit.

Drakan: The Ancients' Gates - Finally got around to playing through the first game earlier this year, now to just tackle the sequel (which I finally found a copy of). It will be done this year. I SWEAR IT.

The Suffering - Tying in with Drakan, this is another Surreal-developed series that I really want to play through prior to This Is Vegas' release. Heard nothing but good stuff for both The Suffering and Ties That Bind, so I'll probably try to play 'em back-to-back.

Force Unleashed and Fable 2 are the only possible full price purchases this year.

GTA IV, Persona 3: Fes, The World Ends With You, Metal Gear Solid 4, Ninja Gaiden 2, Fallout 3, Resistance 2, Infinite Undiscovery, Tales of Vesperia, White Knight Chronicles, Gears of War 2, Castlevania DS.

Probably a bunch of others I'm forgetting as well, but that's off the top of my head.

The only games I can think of are all DS;

Metal Slug 7
Etrian Odyssey 2

I might make room for Star Wars: TFU if they didn't screw-up the waggle.

I rarely buy games at full price, or even new (I've bought maybe 4), so if I am considering a game that means it's pretty darn special. I think I might just have to buy Fallout 3 new. I'm about 160 hours into Oblivion, and I loved Fallout 2, so I think it's safe to assume I will enjoy this game.

Gears of War 2 and Metal Gear Solid 4 will also probably be acquired at some point, though not new. I would also love to get into Mass Effect, Bioshock, Gears of War, and Blue Dragon this year. I've had them all for a bit but haven't touched them yet because of Oblivion. One day...

3 games I will definetly find a way to purchase and play this year.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed
Fable 2
Animal Crossing Wii

Until these finally come out I will just sit back and enjoy my Mass Effect and Lost Odyssey.
