new phat PSP, early firmware

I recently went into a K-Mart and spotted an old model PSP for sale. It didn't have the box or any accesories, it is just the PSP. I charged it and turned it on and its running firmware 1.57 (maybe 1.47, I can't remember). I payed $110 for it, and its opened but never used. Its been sitting in a glass case at the K-Mart I went to for a long time. Did I get a good deal? and how about low official firmaware version?

Its worth about $80-100, probably no more no less. With the advent of all of the downgrading tools, utilities, and hacks for the PSP it doesnt matter what firmware they come with any longer. You can get them all to 1.50 or a CFW (in the case of the slim) now a days.

yeah thats what I kinda figured something like that would be the case. I thought it was a decent deal so I grabbed it for my friend because he wants to start buying psp.
