Just wondering what other peoples collections are like for the DC?

Here's mine:

One new boxed dreamcast (I'm actually using it, its now 2 months old)
1 ext cable and 1 extra aftermarket controller
1 lightgun aftermarket
1 official keyboard
1 vga box (no vga or svid cable yet though)
1 blue vmu

and at last count I had about 200 games excluding emulators and software like linux.

I need to get more stuff! But how would you rate my collection right now? And please show/tell about yours

Though, I really haven't started actively collecting for the system. The system, the controllers, the VMUs, and most of the games (the non-boxed ones) I picked up off another forum for around $50/shipped. I have a few of the good games for the system: Grandia II, Headhunter (PAL), Capcom Vs. SNK 1/2, RE: Code Veronica, & Shenmue. I really need to pick up Evolution 1/2 and Gauntlet Legends.

Anymore the only one I leave hooked up is my modded US unit so I can play my japanese and US titles without needing to swap discs. The chip paid for itself within the first day of owning it since I no longer needed to use Mortal Kombat Gold or Soul Calibur to swap, no longer needed to unplug that ribbon cable, and didn't have to bother downloading any disc images from the net just to play my games. Handy handy handy!

edit - Shit, I'm not sure if I still have my House of the Dead 2 bundle. Not like it much matters since I didn't like the game nearly as much as the first and I absolutely hated the gun, but there's a handful of other titles that I had and dug that I can't seem to find these days. Wouldn't much mind plowing through Godzilla Generations, Pen Pen Tricelon, or Power Stone again if I could ever find them, either.

lets see a fairly early dreamcast, 5 1st party controllers, inovation keyboard, a mouse i forget the branding it might be the first party one. ive at one point or another bought most of the games for the system though all my originals are trashed so i have big stacks of burned games (which are pretty much all trashed as well, i pretty much reburn as i want to play and just keep the cases in the basement in boxes to save shelf space) i have a third party gun i think its made by interact with the rubber side buttons ripped off. and of course a lovely orange third party vga box. i think that pretty much sums up my dreamcast collection other than about 30 vmus lol.

Three white Dreamcasts (a couple have that 'non-working controller port' problem) and a black Sega Sports edition. I've got heaps of controllers, first and third party. A couple keyboards, a couple of import games (Macross being one of them), and over 100 games.



Edit: I pulled out the black Dreamcast last night since I had never tested it before. Turns out (what a shocker) the controller ports are bad on it too. And it's fairly noisy, and the RF port on the back seems to have a short or something. And like all the Dreamcasts I find in thrifts, it always boots in Spanish when it asks for the date.

I don't really "collect" imports but I've picked up the interesting DC imports as well: Ikaruga, Rez, Shenmue 2, Headhunter, the Street Fighter games that didn't come out here, etc.

More importantly, I still PLAY on my Dreamcast. I have a kiosk in the store right by my register and I regularly sneak in games at quiet moments :)

I purchased a Dreamcast about 2 years ago, mainly because I only wanted to play D2. In fact I purchased D2 before hand just to get myself to purchase a Dreamcast and I don't regret it at all. I have been meaning to pick up a few more games for it tho, there are a few survival horror games released for it and I've been wanting to snag them since I've always enjoyed the hell out of that genre.

Planning to make a DC arcade cabinet next to my Mame cabinet. There's a lot of killer Sega games that Mame still can't do right. And I just read that a DC can be modified to output a 15khz signal straight to an arcade monitor, in fact the DC was based on Sega's arcade boardset. People claim it looks even better than a VGA setup.

I have the same collection (complete, selaed [factory], US, with only 5 games having cracks on jewel cases). Besides the DC system I have to play, I also have 4 other new systems in box, never opened AND 125 doubles I actually play. Quite often, I intended to get sealed games first in perfect condition, if not, I keep them as doubles to play and look for another one to add to my sealed collection.

I'd love to get hold of Japanese DC games never released in N Am, the option is till open but elusive.

complete US collection (including complete shenmue and sonic le's). as far as variant's go, i have all SAS's except marvel vs capcom (if you have one and are willing to let it go, let me know). working on the PAL exclusives (14/25 by my count), and have a handful of JP imports (super puzzle fighter 2 for matching service woot!).

i have more controllers than i can count (my guess is 20-25) fishing wheel, arcade sticks, JP keyboard, pop'n music controller, etc etc etc.

notice a couple of vacuum packed tshirts on the shelf there... i like promo stuff. ulala magnets, quake 3 arena thermos. tshirts, etc.

I recently bought a lot of them off of eBay. I have one 0 model and one 1 model. I'm currently using the 0 model as my console. I also have three controllers. One complete in box and the other two are loose. One blue VMU and a jump pack and Ready to Rumble boxing. My collection is very lacking.
