The Gamecube one will work on an SNES.

For 10 bucks, you'd be able to just buy one in any GameStop. Possibly even less than 10 bucks. And if you don't mind 3rd party, you can get one that supports composite and s-video with the appropriate plugs for using it with a Playstation (Any of the three) or Xbox if you ever desire to do it.

Or you can get a refurbished official Nintendo one from Nintendo for $4.99. Just go to the Nintendo Online Store and look under gamecube parts.
