If its anything like the regular Game and Watch units, youll need a LR44 watch battery.
However my SMB Crystal screen requires a larger battery similar to the DC VMU/NGPC/Saturn Battery slots.

The required battery is imprinted in the plastic on the bottom of my micro vs. hockey. It is LR44 or SR44.

Those batteries can be expensive when you buy them at department stores or jewelry stores... I've seen Wally-mart selling individual SR44 batteries for four to five bucks! I buy them in packs of five at a local dollar store, and I've had sets of these el-cheapo SR44s in my G&W games for nearly a year and they're still going strong... I figure these things were designed to run a long time on old-school battery technology, so they don't need the up-market Duracell versions that may well last forever, but cost ten times as much... :beaten:

Thanks for the tip! I harvested the ones I have now from a talking advertisement that came on the box of a floor sweeper. Yeah, weird. Weirder that I tore the thing apart, although I didn't know I'd need the batteries later on, and can't remember why I did so in the first place.

You can find LR44 batteries in packs of six for a couple bucks at Michael's or most any craft store as batteries for tea lights. It's funny but when I go to Radio Shack for components every now and then I usually walk next door and buy a pack of LR44's. LOL

Another question, where do I place the battery in the game and watch? I have never had one before.
