I went to the fleas yesterday and I came across a PC game called Konami collection and it has Castlevania 1-3, Contra, and Super C on it. Its complete and noticed they are on ebay for about $14 or so shipped so I am aware of the value. What I want to know is when they ever came out with this and how many other people knew about it. I picked it up for $5 complete and thought it was a good deal. Anybody else ever spot these? I don't follow PC gaming at all but I saw this and figured what the hell for $5.

I bought it for a buck on clearance at Toys'R'Us. :)

They're not even worth that amount to be honest. You'd think people would want it, but... it just isn't really worth that much.

I rememeber when I worked at best buy, seeing them on the shelf, this was in the 2004-2005 timeframe.

I bought it mainly because I like to collect Castlevania stuff, and it is an official release so I sunk the $5 into it. I think it worth it if you collect castlevania

as a side note, all the games on it have bug fixes/text fixes that aren't on the nes versions, and as a little bonus jackal is also hidden on there.

Is the game accessible? I remember someone ripped the rom from the program file, but I've never seen how to unlock the game.

I think the reason why this collection isn't worth much is because it's on the pc. You can get all of these gams for free on the pc thru emulation programs/software. Had this collection been released for any console it would definitely command more than $5.

Big Lots had many of these about a year ago along with Bomberman Collection. I bought one for $4. Also picked up Darwinia for $5 the same day. :)

I found a loose copy for $4 last year as a gift for my sister and her soon-to-be husband (He loves Contra, she loves Castlevania, so it's perfect for them)
