OK, I've got volumes 1 through 4. Volumes 1 and 3 are common and packed with great games. Volume 2 is another winner, if somewhat rarer. I bought Volume 4 because I was a big Assault fan, but Ordyne was an unanticipated bonus at the time.
So why should I buy Volume 5? I mean, does Dragon Spirit, like, totally rock? Is the Pac-Mania port far superior to the other versions I've played? Is being able to spell out "namco" with the discs or cases that much of a thrill?
Actually, the more I think about it, the more I want to spell out "namco" on my floor.
Anyway, what are your thoughts?

MY thoughts? Get it! Pronto! :)
Only problem with spelling out "NAMCO" when you're done is that if you're really nutty (like us), you'll need the sixth disc (not released in the US) with the ® symbol on it. Seriously.

YES. The Legend of Valkyrie. Worth the price of the disc alone. Excellent game with wonderful music. Great fun. The obvious answer to your question would be "because Pac-Mania is on there." Which it is, and it's great. Dragon Spirit is wonderful as well. Metro-cross and Baraduke are obscure and goofy, but interesting. Make no mistake, however, the reason to get it (other than having a "complete" set) is the Legend of Valkyrie. You can play it on MAME, but only in Japanese (under the name "Valkyrie No Densetsu"). If that's not an issue, great. Plus all of the museum extras make it cool as well.
I said "complete" set because there is a sixth, Japanese-only disc called Namco Museum Encore, which is also wonderful, if you can find it!
OK, thanks!

If you can find it, get it. Heck, why not. That's my philosophy :P

Dragon Spirit is cool, but Vol 5 as a whole is bottom of the barrel. (As opposed to the Encore and others released overseas which are acutally dirt under the barrel.)
I wouldn't pay much for it, at least from a gaming aspect.
