(Sorry if this has been done to death, it's hard to search for Neo Geo stuff on here with the 4 character limit..)

I found a Neo Geo 2 slot for sale for $250 with 3 games of my choice (that he has). Is that a good price? And what games should I buy to make it worth it?

And does anybody know the dimensions and weight of these?

$250? Yes, buy it. As far as games you should get, take a look at the Neo Geo Price Guide here (http://www.neo-geo.com/mvs/mvs.html). If it were me, I'd look more into games I'd want to play, so here are some you might consider:

Metal Slug series
Samurai Shodown series (II and IV are my favorites)
King of Fighters series ('98 and '02 are my favorites)
Bust-A-Move (if it says Puzzle Bobble, it's likely a bootleg)
Aero Fighters
Strikers 1945 Plus (great game, and worth $100+ usually)
Garou: Mark of the Wolves
Last Blade 2
League Bowling (it sounds and probably looks stupid, but it's great fun)
Sengoku 3

...there are a lot of games, really. I don't think you can go wrong with any of those, and I left out a lot. Magician Lord, Magical Drop, Neo Bomberman, etc.

Here are the measurements:

Weight: 250lbs (from what I can remember)
Width: 25.3"

Height: 70" at tallest, 57" at shortest (it slopes downward at the top, roughly 40 degrees or so)

Depth: I'll list this in four parts, from top to bottom
6", right behind the marquee (basically, it goes back 6", then slopes downward)
28" (if you want to be technical, it's 22", but the marquee overhang comes out another 6", so it's effectively 28)
36" (where the control panel comes out; deepest)
29.3" - the back part comes in a bit for the last two feet or so to the floor

If you look at a picture, those numbers will probably make more sense. The MVS doesn't have a flush back; the area that houses the monitor sticks out more in back.

Hope that helps!

EDIT: And to get past the four-character search annoyance, you can use quotes. e.g. search for "neo geo", with the quotes, and it will work. Or, you can use Google: site:digitpress.com neo geo.

HELL YES, that's a good price.

I am presuming you are talking about a complete cabinet with a nice functioning monitor. $250 is a GREAT price and you will have the wonderful option of (relatively) cheap MVS carts to fill your gaming needs. There are a LOT of Neo games out there (not just fighters) that are a total blast.

nice find!

Awesome, thanks for the great info! I think I'm gonna pick it up this weekend then, and I'll finally have my first arcade cab!
