Today, I went to a family run estate sale. The person that had owned all this stuff was an employee at Texas Instruments. They said he worked for the "Defense" part of TI. I bought a lot of TI 99/4 and TI 99/4A stuff. I got:
(2) TI 99/4A computers, one loose and one boxed, both have all the hookups, but no monitor.
20+ floppy discs, with various programming tools, and other things. (I'll post a list later, once I assess all of this stuff.)
20+ Cassettes, with programs like "Electrical Engineering Library" on them. Some of the cassettes have nothing written on their label. I don't know if there is anything on the cassettes with blank labels.
19 TI cartridges:
Adventure, TI Writer, Editor Assembler, TI Logo, Terminal Emulator II, TI Extended BASIC, TI Invaders, Munchman, Disk Manager 2, Securities Analysis, Parsec, Music Maker, Mini Memory, Microsoft Multiplan, and Personal Record Keeping.
A TI 99/4 Peripheral Expansion System with 4 cards. (I bought the whole lot of this stuff because I thought this was valuable, one on ebay without any cards just sold for $73. )
2 giant TI binders with reference guides in them
A binded book called "TI 99/4A Console Technical Data"
A TI 99/4a "Speech Synthesis" Attachment
and finally,
A TI Portable Professional Computer
This boat anchor of a computer was only sold to Texas Instrument employees. They stopped selling it less than a year later. (At least, that's what I heard) Now, is this large "portable computer" worth anything?
I also got a boxed "Multi-Function Kit 256k Primary" uhhh... device (That's what it says on the box) It's for the Professional Computer.
I got all of the TI stuff for $25.
so,
Is this stuff worth anything???
I'll post pics of the TI stuff if you guys want.
