Does anyone here own a pair of these? I found a set for $109.00 at Toys R Us, which is $20 less than what they go for because of the 20% off.

The set I found is made by Mattel, but apparently, Radica manufactures them as well. I only put this thread in Modern because the package shows some kid using them while playing with an Xbox controller (with the Xbox brand jewel in the center of the controller missing).

I don't expect an HD-quality set up here, but I'm just trying to find out if these goggles are passable before I open them.

They're supposed to show a 32-inch image in the glasses, so I'm hoping they're worth it. I found 3 reviews online, and 2 of them said they were good. The other said the audio quality is poor. Are they decent? If not, they're going back.

Here is the Toys R Us link:

I try never to do this (comment on something I don't own or have not used)... I don't own a set nor have I used one, but... In all the years gone by and all the gimmicky items and "next generation" items put out I have not seen many live up to their hype or my hopes. Curious to hear about it if anyone has it though.

I'd like to hear if these are any good too. Anything would be better than the VictorMaxx Stuntmaster VR helmet I have. It's like playing SNES/Genesis games on a Game Gear screen half an inch from your eyeballs.

I've been interested in seeing the quality of some of the video glasses that are hitting the market nowadays. A lot of them have plugs that go directly to your video iPod, which is what I'm interested in them for. I just love the idea of having a little video visor you can fold up and keep in a pocket to watch your iPod on. But the ones I see tend to be around $300. They've got to have better resolution than the E-Vex Video Goggles.

Apparently, there are several companies that make these kinds of video goggles, but I only picked them up in the first place because they were $100. I don't need to have an HD set-up on my face, but I thought it was an interesting idea.

As of this moment, the package is still unopened since I haven't been able to figure out whether I should use this $100 on bills or just let 'er rip and try them out.

If anyone's ever seen these working, let me know before I bust the package open.
