Recently I came across an action 52 cart that was in australia, and apparently the person selling it listed it as "PAL". I never knew there was a PAL action 52, but I think it's just an NTSC one that somebody has in australia. I'm asking this because I want to buy it, but I'm not sure if it would work in my NTSC system (FC twin).

Thanks!

I do believe Active released a Pal Action 52 so it might be real. There was a pirated Genesis version as well.

Well Ill go through my megadrive stuff for you this afternoon, but I know I have a couple of action 52's in there and I think they where a pal release, although with a modified cart design its possible they are all NTSC carts.

Uh, well, if it is the PAL version, will it work on my NES with the lockout chip disabled? My FC Twin doesn't have a lockout chip, so there's no need to disable it.

if an nes has had the lockout chip disable then it will run any 72pin nes game cartridge

a disabled lockout nes will run any cart pal/ntsc or pirate/unliscensed

well, I'm pretty sure they only released one version, but the did ship it around the world. I've seen Action 52's in Europe. I think Active enterprises used something to bypass the lockout chip similar to Camerica and Color Dreams. Check and see if the cart sticker, or box are any different, but my money is on it being the same version distributed in the US.

The genesis version is region free as far as I know too. Fusion seems to agree.
