So..... you know how at the beginning of SOTN Death steals all your great Alucard gear?

Well, not anymore. This isn't my video and I didn't know about it until I found this accidentally. I tried it with a new save file and it works!

Ok this glitch is done on psp. This is what you do the room before death you move right and you quickly move left as soon as you get into the room with death then when you hear the music stop that means you did the glitch right it's pretty simple then you still have Alucards great Armour and sword and all the good stuff make the game really easy kill anything one hit lol el oh el
i'm not sure if this glitch will work on any other versions of SOTN i havn't tryed it on PSX yet

Is this glitch in older versions? If so, I'd never heard of it or used it.

I thought just about every SotN fan knew about that by now. o_O Yeah, it's in the original version, and it's very old news. :P

Just to confirm, yes, this is a glitch in the original. I believe GameFAQs has an FAQ based solely on all of the glitches in the game.

Actually, no, that particular glitch is NOT in the original. There is, however, a different glitch that achieves the same thing.

To keep your gear "the old-fashioned way", you had to start a Luck Mode game, unequip all your armor, and get hit by one of the wargs, causing you to fly through Death's room. Same effect, but you have to play in Luck Mode, which is harder (but really, the game is still mega-easy).

Either way, both glitches have been known for quite some time. I remember reading about the PSP-only glitch the day after the game came out.

Yeah, as soon as you find your first good set of armor and weapons, the luck mode is still very easy. If you take advantage of the hidden elevator to get the lot of items with the jewel knuckles, the game is pretty much over by that point.

Thanks for pointing out you need to get hit by a warg. I guess I wasn't really paying attention too much during the initial post. The PSP glitch makes it far easier.

Useful trick if you're doing a speed run, I guess... I can't imagine why else you'd want to make this game any easier... :p

Just to clarify, the PSP glitch happens in the normal mode, as well--not just Luck Mode (not sure if I made this clear).

Seriously. I love the hell out of this game, but the challenge just isn't there unless you put it there. Keeping all of your equipment in the beginning is like shooting a very big fish in a very small barrel.

Hey guys sorry to dig up an old thread.

Is there a glitch in the xbox 360 version of SOTN to keep all your gear?

Man, I've never heard of this. And I've played thru both the US and Japanese PS1versions. I still have to play thru the Saturn and 360 versions and I'll keep this in mind.

As for the people that said this was old news, I wonder why I've never seen this in any video game tricks/codes issue or on the game sites I visit. Considering I have atleast 5 video game magazine subscriptions and frequent atleast 3 video game websites, this is odd that I've never heard of this before. Oh well.

Umm..It's been mentioned on Gamefaqs code area for the PS version, as well as ZKeene's SOTN faq dated back to 2002, even in Wingchild's SOTN faq dated last at 2000. I'd be willing to bet it's been mentioned even earlier on Castlevania forums.

I've seen all the gameshark codes and stuff like that but I've never seen this one. But weird as that may be, I still think it's a nice trick to a classic game.
