We just bought a GameCube a couple weeks ago, mainly so my mom could play. I was wondering what games I could get her for mother's day. Right now she has a Spyro game and Avatar(picked up at Movie Gallery Closing). She hasn't played much since the SNES days (Super Mario, DKC, Echo). What do you guys think?

Animal Crossing? Maybe Pikmin? Is there a Bust-A-Move for Gamecube? I dunno. Personally I was thinking of getting my mom a DS and a Sudoku game.

There is a BAM for the Cube, Bust A Move 3000. It's quite rare though, so its not something your just going to walk in and see on many store shelves.
I second the Animal Crossing, and Pikmins. You could toss in some of the Mario's (Sunshine isn't the best thing ever, but its still good) and same with Twilight Princess. Most all the Crash and Spyro games would work as well. If she likes those and doesn't mind funny, get her I-Ninja. Its a hilarious game.

I will always recommend Kirby's Air Ride to everyone and anyone who owns a Gamecube. In my opinion it's probably one of the most fun and entertaining games that hit the GCN...and honestly it's the only GCN game I can and do go back and play on a regular basis.
Oh, and don't forget Legend of Zelda Wind Waker...great game if she's into that. All the greatness of Zelda with a cartoony spin.

I didn't know Ecco was a SNES game ;).
My experiences point toward Wario Ware, Puyo Pop, Pikmin, and Animal Crossing. If she likes the Spyro game try out I-Ninja.
Also don't forget about the classic game compilations like the Sonic Collections and Mega Man Collections.

I did spell it wrong, but by SNES days I meant the 16 bit era, which include classic Ecco for the Genny.

Mom's may think it is pretty cool, too.

Pac-Man World 2 is a fun, straightforward game that's not too difficult.
Beach Spikers is another fun GameCube game. It's basically a two-on-two beach volleyball version of Virtua Tennis...easy controls and good arcade-style fun.
How about Mario Kart: Double Dash? It's another fun game that's easy to get into.
Zapper received average reviews, but I enjoyed it. It's an action-puzzle game that starts off easy and gets very difficult later on.
EDIT: I just remembered Animal Crossing and the Harvest Moon games.

I bought her Animal Crossing and decided to give it to her early. She played it for awhile, we'll see if she goes back to it for more. She seemed to enjoy figuring it out herself. I'm weak though, I actually bought the MVP card at Game Crazy.
