Iīm planning to make an official and new list with all games without ending for this fabolous system. I knew a few years ago had existed a similar thread, but I couldnīt find it, so, iīll wait for your help to perform this list with all the info you could bring me to me.
Thanks in advance.

RC Pro-AM does not end. Neither does the Indy Heat/Super Off-Road pair of games. Does Tetris?

Do puzzle/non-story games count? They usually have a definite number of levels, but no ending in the narrative sense. Ex. Dr. Mario.

You won't get to the end of Cheetahmen II, if that counts.

Right, but my point is about the games that doesnīt have a definite number of levels, ex. Mag Max or Kung Fu.

As many times as I have tried, the original Mario Bros. doesn't have an ending.
Oops, vintagegamecrazy listed Mario Bros. I even looked at the classic series list, but...

Right, but my point is about the games that doesnīt have a definite number of levels, ex. Mag Max or Kung Fu.
Does Kung Fu really count? I mean, it loops, but there is an ending, you do indeed save Sylvia. Starting over and playing again shouldn't discredit that should it?
Edit: Further example, when you win SMB1, it immediately shoots you into the second quest, but every one I know says it ends.

For that matter, Wrecking Crew also has a large but finite number of levels.
Does Q-Bert end after 20 levels?

not true, it ends your game and sends you back to the title screen when you press B, the second quest is a totally new game, starting with zero score and the normal 3 lives.
kung fu gets harder and harder and has a slightly differnt ending after the second time you go through it, but it does go on forever.
add star force to that list, after you beat the last letter in the alphabet you go into the infinaty levels that never end.

Dig Dug II never ends, a friend and I played it with Game Genie and after level 72 it loops back to level 1 with pallete swapped colors and the same score and no ending.
If you are counting games that have an ending but keep going afterwards with the same score but at the beginning of the game, then Spelunker counts as an endless game. I have finished it a few times and there are pallete swapped levels but the game repeats and the score keeps going.

Lode Runner and Wrecking Crew jumps you back to level 1 when you get that far... they just don't have any true endings as far as I know.
Can anyone confirm if either of Chubby Cherub or City Connection has an ending?

I second the idea that The Legend of Zelda doesn't end. Much in the same way that SMB1 doesn't end. You just keep jumping back to the second quest.

Good idea. Games like Contra and Life Force have endings, but automatically loop back to level one afterwards.

The criteria is: games that donīt end, no matter if there is a sequence (like Kung Fu for example). I mean, you can play this games forever and never really ends...

What about Kill screens? Donkey Kong and Pac Man and others would still not qualify.
Edit: Nevermind, I just remembered this is NES and not Arcade. Is there such a thing as a kill screen on NES?

well if king of kong is to be believed it was a memory issue. They said in the movie i believe that there wasn't enough ram for the kill screen level which has something to do with the fact that you just up and die.
as for nintendo games without endings, rampage (if it has an ending kill me because ive gone REALLY far into this game)

I'm seeing a whole lot of games here that do indeed end. In fact, most NES games allow you to press start at the ending to start at the beginning.
Some games have a final level, but no ending sequence. Some games are short as hell, like Donkey Kong, but it still has an ending sequence. Some games start over, just on a higher difficulty.
My point is, there are many games on this list that shouldn't be.
Donkey Kong, DKJr., DKIII: all have endings...you just start over.
Kung Fu: Ending is after you beat Mr. X, slightly different ending the second time (third too?).
City Connection: Iirc, it does have an ending. I beat it once and that was enough.
Star Force: has an ending...on the American NES version. Technically, though, level Omega is the last official level, then it repeats level infinity.
Legend of Zelda surely has an ending...it ust happens to start over.
I'm pretty sure Adventures of Dino Riki never ends. When you finish the last level, there's no ending sequence, you just get sent back to the first level with harder enemies.
Has an ending if you didn't cheat to get to level 8.
Rampage HAS AN ENDING.
Duck Hunt goes to level 99, then level 00, then back to level 1 (iirc, with level 1 difficulty too). So, in a way, that ends too.
RC PRO AM gives you the final trophy like any level complete does and starts over. So, that's your ending, in a way.
Tetris does have various ending sequences.
MagMax and Seicross definitely just keep going and going.
I could go on and on.
The criteria need to be much more clearly defined.

I don't know the exact number of stages, but eventually you do black out the entire U.S. You have to do California twice for some reason, and all you get is a lame "Congratulations" screen.

Happened upon this old thread when I was searching for info about Nuts & Milk:
Well, here i post the list of all that i know. Some of then have an ending sequence, but no end...
Nuts & Milk
To be clear, this has an ending if you play the game through without using the Select level skip (so basically, you have to 1CC the game). It then loops back to Level 1, switching to Game B mode (with the flying enemies) if you started on Game A.
Also:
I'm pretty sure Adventures of Dino Riki never ends. When you finish the last level, there's no ending sequence, you just get sent back to the first level with harder enemies.
Has an ending if you didn't cheat to get to level 8.
No, Scissors is correct -- Dino Riki has no ending of any kind. There's a no-death longplay on YouTube that confirms it, among many other sources.

I know many years ago someone named Adam set to finish every North American NES game, or at least what could be considered "finishing" and described every ending (though I can't remember where, maybe GameFAQs).
(that included every game in Action 52, most of them simply being where they looped or crashed)
Indeed, Adam did upload his guide to GameFAQs

That one drove me crazy in '88, because it doesn't seem like a never-ending game. I played it for hours once back then. :D
