I'm looking to buy some older systems professionally modded. Can anyone here recomend any site where i could send in a system to be modded or buy one outright?

After seeing this sega genesis modd i would love to be able to get this kind of clarity and be able to play with no lagg.

www.oldschoolgamer.ca does this kind of stuff.

The moderator of the technical part of the forum, omendan, runs the site. Some other members do it, but he is the only one I've worked with and can recommend.

I do some mod from time to time. It's a shame nobody ever bought my 2nd Generation S-video Genesis.

ooXxXoo also does mods. He added S-Video to My X'Eye, SNES 2, and Master System and they all work and look great.

www.retro-console.com is his website.

We don't do much for sales, but do modify submitted systems. We do not offer overclocking at all, for reliability reasons.

the genesis provides very mixed results with overclocks, i've tried the cart port overclock method and it sucked (though ive heard you get better results using a separate crystal for the higher clock) it gave all kinds of problems (sound glitches, crashes, games not booting, etc) and some model 1 genesis systems cant be overclocked at all (the ones with signetics CPUs) it's more of something to play around with than a way to get better performance ingame as far as i've seen.

Drop him a PM. He's a really nice guy. I actually don't remember what the price was because I paid for all of my mods with games in trade. He takes trades for mods as well, which is always a plus!

So what happened to ooXxXoo? His site in this post is GONE and I wanted him to mod my JVC x-eye so badly. he did really good work.

Posts say he hasn't posted here since 2011, his newest youtube video only goes back to 2011 too. I hope he's ok.

He's usually very busy, I remember when I PMed him a while back, he never got around to replying.

I didn't realize there was a demand for such things. Most people don't want to pay more than bare minimum for a Genesis or SNES.

Maybe I'll mod a couple of what I've got sitting around.

Why in blazes would you ever need a Modded SNES?

PAL games that block 60hz on boot. Defeating the lock out chip doesn't change video mode.
