I came up with this one back on 3/1/02. Sometimes I just like playing games for the sole purpose of redemption :D

I went to Aladdin's Castle (arcade) the other day and had one of the best times I've ever had in an arcade... but I didn't play too many video games. I had a good time playing the "other" games. Ya' know... the ones with *NO* viewing screens. Sometimes your head needs a break from polygons, sprites, and all that other stuff. To name a few, skee-ball, claw machines, air hockey, pinball, 'bop' games, and basketball (with the moving rim) are examples of the "other" games. Some usually give you things in return (like tickets or prizes).

I like claw machines myself. Especially ones with stuffed animals that have five and ten dollar bills tied to them. I once spent 75 cents just to get a plush ragdoll that had $5 attached to her.

What class of "other" games do you enjoy most?

One player: Pinball

Two player: Air Hockey (Cuz I always get pwned at pinball)

While Air Hockey is the only form of hockey my brother can beat me in it is still fun. It is the only game I have drawn blood on someone in the arcade.
At the same time it pisses me off because I usually lose because I score on myself. >:(

Air Hockey or Pinball, both are fun so it hard to choose just one.

I love Pinball.. and so desperately want an Addam's Family for my collection, but it is so bloody expensive that I think this is a dream that will never live.

Air Hockey is great fun too. I played one version in Japan that started with one puck, and then when someone got to seven it started spitting out pucks (3 max at a time) for the last minute. It was madness. Usually the score ended up 19:15 or something. I am quite deadly in Air Hockey and take it seriously when I lose. The two major threats are: having a finger in play, and being hit by the puck when it is flung out of play. Blood can fly.

Nothing like a good pinball game. Addams Family rocks!! I am just lucky enough for a local mall of mine to have it in a FYE store arcade. I also would like to own it someday.

I love Air Hockey...I don't get to play as often as I'd like. I really love the 3-puck machines that Gameworks has. I beat my dad something like 20-8 on one of those. Heh heh...

I like pinball alright I guess, but there are very few machines built since 1990 that I really really like. Most of my favorites I play in Pinmame are from the 50s and 60s...

I LOVE pinball and air hockey! But...I picked pinball cause sometimes you don't have anyone to play air hockey against..how boring is THAT?

Yay for Twilight Zone pinball! YAYYYYYYY!

It's a three way tie between Pinball, Air Hockey, and Skeeball. I've spent way too many hours of my life in Arcades playing these games. Always fun to go back once and a while.

Are there any particular strategies you employ that make you a successful crane machine player? I suck at those...

Nothing like a good pin. I always have a thing for standing in front of ANY machine as I get 3 games for the price of one (I got lucky about three days ago, got to play three games all at once. So cool!).

I did choose other, simply because, im not very good at pinball or any of the others. At the arcade around my house (Boomer's) JUST outside of the arcade is go-karts. I see it as a game because I am challanging my friends. Does this count?
