ok I didn't think too deep into this, but I was randomly thinking about how I wish I could sell or trade my downloaded games on xbox live, PSN, or virtual console. For instance, I have games I downloaded a while back which I may not play again, but I don't want to just delete any of them. Say I had Gauntlet for xbox live, and say somebody on my friends list wanted to trade me say Double Dragon or something for it, you could set something up where you each select the game being traded and both confirm to make the deal. The only thing is I don't see it being profitable in any way to microsoft or any of the publishers, but it could boost the sales of xbox live gold memberships by a lot, not to mention the possibilities of boosting sales for downloadable games just for the fact that you aren't stuck with it forever and can be traded for a new game with people within your friends list. I could see that being an extremely good feature for HOME on PS3 but if that were to happen, I could very well see them charging for the usage of HOME. So what does everybody else think of the idea. I'm sure we all wish we could do that, but do you think it could ever happen?

but from ms' or sony's point of view, why have 2 people buy one license when 2 people can buy 2 licenses?

I dont think this will never happen. Downloadable content will never have a secondary market. MS, PS3, Wii are a business and the downloadable content is pure profit for them. They will not do anything that would possibly harm sales. The reason why these companies are going to a virtual console is that it does not have a middleman(aka Gamestop Game Crazy Used game market). Used games and games traded between peers makes the game company zero money. I personally dont see this a feature to drive xbox live memberships.

Pretty sure it wont happen. Which is also why I will never pay for any of that.
