I have recently dumped my game Magic Bubble for the Megadrive/Genesis using my Super Magic Drive Plus to a ROM file.
For those who arent familiar with this game, please refer to this post i made last year.
http://www.digitpress.com/forum/showthread.php?t=97844&highlight=magic+bubble
Its your typical Puzzle game, align 4 and pop!
Its pretty much a kids version of bubble bath babes
The ROM dumped fine into a 4M file and seems to boot up fine in Fusion :)
Here are a few screen grabs :)

I will send the rom back to my flash card soon to test it works both ways too!
I have contacted CMA Death Adder, as i know his team are in close contact with C&E.
I will not be releasing it until i have his reply.
If all is successful then what are the rules regarding releasing undumped games onto the net?
Is there a special format? Website to send them? Basically im knowledgable regarding downloading Roms, just not uploading them ;)
Im looking forward to replys as this is completely new territory for me!

Try No-Intro (http://www.gbadat.altervista.org/). This particular section of their forum (http://forums.no.intro.free.fr/forumdisplay.php?f=19) deals specifically with new dumps and redumps (to replace bad dumps).
And I'll quote from their website:
What is "No-Intro"?
What "No-Intro" does is fill some .dat files, to be used with ROM-Managers, with information about the known ROMS released. Often there are more versions of the same ROM dump, but most of them are garbage, some examples may include: bad dumps, hacks, fakes, overdumps, underdumps, and so on. "No-Intro" lists only the best available ROM; it must be a full dump with no faults and no changes to the file, basically just the ROMS that are the closest as possible to the original licensed cartridges.

If it boots without any problems, chances are any problems can be fixed by software. It is very cool to see things like this released to the community.
Just a note about No Intro, they can be a bit over-zealous, so don't take it personally.

Why are you going to wait for DeathAdder's reply? It's not like he had anything to do with the game.

I wasnt going to say anything here, but i guess ill have to as i said too much.
CMA asked me for scans of the box and manual a while back as i think he is gonna release this game similar to the way he released Beggar Prince.

Because he is considerate.
It's not like he had anything to do with the game.
Super Fighter Team has acquired exclusive rights, directly from C&E, to distribute this game.

Huh. How... convenient.

I have this game and like it a lot. It would be a shame if a ROM was spread to public, since it would be a very nice game to have re-released with some enhancements. A public ROM would decrease the chances of that happening.

That's exactly drx's mission statement as well and I salute you for it.

A public rom would mean anyone with the skills to do so could enhance the game themselves, including yourself if you learned about doing so.
Personally, I'd rather have a licensed version with box and manual than just a ROM dump.

Even though i completely agree with you and i made my view on sharing unreleased ROMs clear, i will be keeping this ROM to myself and leave the work to Super Fighter Team.
Super Fighter Team arent the bad guys in this case, its me... I apologise to everyone who has read this, i hope i didnt get your hopes up too much before contacting the team first.
I got ahead of myself and excited. This was the first game i had dumped using my Magic Drive, a significant one at that and was looking forward to sharing it.
We need to respect the work of SFT, as releasing games for retired consoles isnt easy and i cant see any other companies doing so...

Public ROMs aren't the real deal. Tr00 retro gamers want actual cartridges to be played on the console, not ROMs for play on emulators. I think SFT can do the job just fine in enhancing the game. Enhanced Mega Drive ROMs are very few and I doubt people would put their effort in such an obscure game as Magic Bubble if it was released as a public ROM.

Has the ROM been released yet? I have a couple SNES prototypes that need dumping. I was wondering if this game had credits like the NES version, and if it did who worked on the music. The only way you could find that out is by beating the game. I could hack the game if I had the ROM. Or, maybe if you opened the ROM file in a text editor (like Notepad) there might be something in there. I know the last post here was in 2008 so I'm late to the party but if you could look into it for me I would really appreciate it. I was also hoping to do a VGM set on this game. Thanks again.
