Midway Arcade Treasures 1 - Possibility this is a USA version?

I won this today because I have been looking for a sealed new copy of the compilation. The boxart on this is obviously not the boxart that I know of (I used to own the title) but rather resembles the European release. Is there a possibility that this is the USA version? It is coming from a USA seller that actually lives in NJ like myself, but I know that means nothing really. Does anyone know if this title had a USA re-release with this boxart? I am just hoping I'll be able to play it!

Yes it's a USA version. I've only seen 2 versions of the USA version, and that I've seen many times at the store.

They did that to match Midway Arcade Treasures 2 & 3 Box Art

I'm pretty sure that that's the same cover art as the one on my XBox version of the game. If so, definitely the US version.

Yep, it's a US version. Around the same time MAT 2 was released, Midway changed the disc and box art on MAT 1 to match MAT 2's look.

I'd say it's slightly less common than the copies with the look it replaced, but not by much.

Really? I've only ever seen the PS2 version a couple of times, and none of the Xbox version. All I see is the original version which is common for all three systems, including the GameCube.

Quick way to check the region of a game is to look for the ESRB rating.

That's the version I have. I've seen this same "new" packaging for GC and Xbox as well.

What Digital Space said... and I've seen the reprint far more often than the old version (though I own both for Cube, hey it's my collection with variants!).
