View Full Version : Mega cd games on Sega CD????

Hi everybody

Bought 3 Mega-Cd games(5 in 1, F1 Circus and Solf-Feace) and was not able to play it on my Sega-CD,i have a Mega Key (dont know the version cause the label was riped out), is it able to play Cd imports???

No. You will need a CD Plus or a Datel Pro CDX. Or else get the Sega CD modded with a new multibios.

ALternatively you can try using the scd_conv application to create NTSC versions, but this doesn't always work.

Can the multi BIOS work with a CDX system? I am getting a US CDX system soon and would like to run Japanese titles also..................

I recommend the MEgacart too. ITs great because you can also flash genesis roms to it straight from a cd drive on your sega cd

I don't think the multiBIOS works with the CDX, actually. I dimly recall that there isn't enough space in the unit to solder a new EPROM.

Installing a MultiBIOS used to be the only way to guarantee 100% compatibility, but it looks like that Megacart does the same thing and much more.
