Strider Returns...

I just bought Strider II(GEN) and there is 2 Labels on the game. Why is that so?

1-U.S Gold Label
2-I can only see the Tip and it looks like a White with Blue Stripes.

P.S: The vertical line at the end is the End of the Second label.

I have the same thing with my copy, so it must be a somewhat common occurance. I don't know why though.

try peeling it off, could be an alltogether different label


i remember back when i was 13 i bought mortal kombat for the megadrive.. it had a similar situation occouring.. so i peeled the label off gently and it revealed an american version of the label underneith =]

Its the label for strider 1, and yes its a common occourance.

Perhaps they had a warehouse full of unsold $90 Strider 1 carts, which forced them to whore/license out the game for a quick half-assed sequel, which used those unsold carts for manufacturing.

I had one just like that when the game was first released. It appeared to have been the EUR version with a US label over it.

I sold it years ago, and recently reaquired one without the extra label. Perhaps it was a first batch that had an incorrect label, and was corrected for later batches.
