Commodore 64 1541C built in Dec. 1986. Everything included. Monitor, Keybord, Disk Drive, Printer,All the cords and wires. At least a hundred software titles. Very good condition with all the original covers and manuals. found this on craigslist and wondering what a good price range of this item would be.

All the software legit and have boxes and manuals ?
If not, $50 bucks maybe for the C64 system and peripherals.

If it's got a decent monitor, maybe $75 (1902, 1084). A C64C in good shape is worth about $35 or so. A 1541C maybe $20. Printers are worthless.
If the disks are all original boxed it might be worth a couple of hundred. But most of us C64 users had boxes full of pirated software which is worth the price of disks.

$500? LOL Craigslist is great, but then you get people that try to blow smoke about things that they have no clue what they have. I would say that you have talked to other collectors online(heck even show them this post) and that most Commodore stuff is common and very cheap. unless he has boxed rare strategy RPGs from SSI or others, then the games/system/monitor/etc could range from $50 to $200 as the above people mentioned. If the person will not show you the items unless you can front $500, then I would not even bother and wish the person well at selling it elsewhere. Chances are when they dont get any other bites, they will come back to you when they realize that they may actually have to research the value of what they are selling.

I sold a C64 without a monitor for $60 this past January.
Side note: why do so many sellers on craigslist make you drag information out of them? I mean seriously, do you want to sell your stuff?

well i think people dont share info on craigs much because they just can stick it out there for free and see if anybody is interested. if they paid for it like ebay there would be more info and pictures
