I don't know if this interests anyone or not, but for a while, I worked for a gaming magazine, which I worked alongside several other magazine in the same building. Everyone knew I was into weird protos and stuff, so I got a lot of PSX and Saturn games dumped on me. For those interested or ever wanted to know if these existed, here's what I got:
Werewolf Apocalypse (Saturn)
Major Damage (Saturn)
Youngblood (PSX)
Madden 96 (The missing year version for PSX)
Clayfighter Extreme (PSX)
Loaded 4-player (Although it says it is on the disc, It doesn't seem to work)
Razorwing (PSX)
Star Con (3D Star Control)
Thrill Kill (Different than pirated version), with press kit (Hat, Manual, etc.)
Manhatten Project (PSX)
Several weird Capcom games that didn't come out here, but are Translated.
Bomberman Panic (SNES) English Translation!
Wild 9 original version Press Kit (Wow, this was a different game)
TONS of Beta versions of games with different features.
Tonic Trouble First Revision (N64) VERY different.
An unworking N64 rom of Robotech. I hold onto it thinking it MAY work some day.
What I missed but know someone has:
Kill Wheel
Bushido Blade 3
I know I've forgotten some, so if anyone is interested in knowing more about these or want screenshots or something, let me know. I'm not interested in selling or trading or releasing for a ton of reasons. I won't be selling these on Ebay in the future or anything. And they are VERY safe and backed up, for the most part. Primarily, I hope this helps with the Rumor Mill section of the Rarity Guide.
Best,
Mike

Thank ya, Mike. I'll make sure our PSX Guide people see this. You know Adam already I think - he's got quite a collection of prototypes himself, not sure if he's got all of these though.
Game ON.

Very interesting, Mike. I'd love to hear about Bushido Blade 3 (was this an early version of Kengo?) or Major Damage. And what are those Japanese Capcom games? One of them wouldn't be Mega Man Battle and Chase, would it?

Alright, I'll try to get some screens for the Saturn games this weekend, and regarding Bushido Blade, yes- I believe it was an early version of Kengo. The guy who has it is now at Microsoft, so I'll be seeing him in just over a week at E3. I'll see what I can do to get some screens. It is PSX, not PS2, which makes it pretty interesting.

Ohhhh Thrill Kill :o
This game does hold a sick fascination for me!! How does it vary from the 4 pirated versions floating about the net? I wonder would you be willing to part with it at all plus the extra bits and pieces? Let me know either way :)

On a marginally related note, does anyone know anything about a canceled PSX game called Bounty Arms? Data West was supposed to bring it out in Japan in early 1995, just after the PSX launched, but it never showed.
If prototypes exist, they'd only be the Japanese version, since the game was never slated for release anywhere else. It's a shame, too, because it looks like a fun little overhead shooter in the tradition of Ikari Warriors.

I'm not that interested in Star Control for the PSX, but you can bet you bippy, be it sweet or bitter, that Mrs. PDF, the biggest StarCon fan in the world, will be interested to know what it would've been like. X_x

I would love to get my hands on the betas of Clayfighter Extreme and Madden 96(also known as the forbidden crappy Madden)
I too, would start a fund to "convince" you to release some of the betas, I understand they are extremely rare, but both of these systems are dead/near dead, so its not like someone is gonna make a profit on this, and at the same time, I dont think anyone wants these hidden treasures to disappear forever a la RE 1.5.
However, I have a feeling that some of these may be numbered like the first problem with Dreamcast Half Life, if thats the case, I'd "auction" copies to the "professionals"
Also, is Clayfighter Extreme the same game as CF 63 1/3? Thanks

The original post is almost exactly a year old, and he's never had a follow-up. Don't expect one now.
