It's been out for a week, and no one's really brought this game up, since GTA 4 stole it's thunder.

But it's been a while (like before Christmas, while...) since I've bought a Wii game, and Boom Box is the only one I can find that looks even remotely interesting.

Anyone here got any opinions on it?

I put in 3-4 hours in various single player modes, and I'm about 30% complete (I settled for Bronze & Silver on many levels, though). It's a pretty fun and unique puzzler. There's a lot more variety than I was expecting, and it controls very well. The level maker is really full-featured and complex, and sharing levels works great. I liked the cutsey, animal-themed story mode, but overall I don't care for the pastel-y, washed-out look and Duplo-block art style. That doesn't affect game play one bit, of course, but I like games with saturated colors.

Overall it's a cool game. There are so many other great puzzlers out there, though, and without spending more time with it I'm not sure it's going to be worth $50. There doesn't seem to be tons of levels, but on the plus side I've never played anything quite like it. Definitely worth a rental, at least.

It's called Boom Blox ;) I wrote a small review (http://www.elitepigs.de/blog/archives/31) of the game over at my blog. I hope I can try out multiplayer real soon, that looks to be the most fun part of the game.

I was excited to try the head-tracking mode... then they axed it. Now, I can wait to play it. I have plenty to work on in the meantime. Forget GTA... they sorta stole their own thunder.

I played it a couple times from the beggining of the game, and I think it is pretty fun. Throwing baseballs at whatever is on screen and knocking things down is awesome. Trying to knock everything down in one throw is really tough on some stages. I personally don't think its worth $50, I'd probably buy it for $30ish.
