Has anyone ever seen one of these? It's a full size one player Arcade type machine with a Genesis built in and you replace the game through a slot. Anyone?
Anyone?
Bueller?
Are they common? Where did it come from?
Any help is appreciated.

Where did you see it?

Is there a picture you can share with us?

Is the marquee "Gargoyles" or was the game "Gargoyles"?

These and many other questions await you.

I remember an Aladdin cabinet set up at the Luxor arcade (back when Sega owned it), but I think it was just a free play demonstration.

I will have a picture soon, I pick it up Saturday. It is a "free play demonstration" type item. It was won in a contest, it seems to be a custom cabinet, the gargoyles name and images are painted on the side. I can't wait to get into it and see what is what.

Sorry to dig up this old thread, but someone led me here from the KLOV forums. I picked up one of these last year in New Hampshire and have been trying to track down info on this thing ever since. Would love to talk to anyone who has one. Would also love to find out how many of these were made.

Nice, and Gargoyles is one of the most underrated Genesis games EVER. It's truly an epic platformer.

Is that a standard Genesis Sonic 3D Blast cart that's in it? I know there was an arcade version of the Genesis/Mega Drive, but the carts were not compatible.

Maybe that is some sort of a custom Jamma converted Genesis. I've seen people do that before. I love the side art!

This is beautiful. I can't believe I didn't know it existed. Gargoyles is my favorite Disney series of all time, and amidst my favorite cartoons. Now I want one.

I think I remember hearing about this. Wasn't it for some kind of contest?

Excellent-looking cabinet though.

I wonder what model Genesis is in there.

That cabinet was from a contest, it was basically just a regular Genesis in an arcade cabinet and could play any regular cartridge though it just came with Gargolyes. I can't seem to find the ad for this, I remember seeing it once but maybe it was just in the back of a comic book or something. If I manage to find it I'll post it.

That's one of the few Genesis items I would love to own someday, though it's probably too expensive for me. I don't even have the Gargoyles game yet, though I have the strategy guide for it.

Gargoyles was great (the series, I never played the game...but I will now). The cabinet art is really awesome. That's a pretty sweet score, man.

That is a weird and unique cabinet for sure. Never seen anything quite like it. Neat though.

Don't want to spam with cross posts to other forums, but I have several more pics up over at KLOV. This cab runs off of a Series II Genesis console and a modified standard Genesis controller. There are also sound and video amplification boards in the cab as well.

Gameguy, if you can find that ad for the cab, please do post it. I would love to see it. So far, I have heard of one other cab (in the top of this thread) of this type. Would love to know how many were made.

Oldskool, Yes, it is a standard Sonic 3D Blast Genesis cart in the picture.

Kind of stinks that it only has one controller though. I would hate to mod it since that would kinda ruin it.
