My Nomad has the common problem of blinking on and off when the power cord is wiggled where it plugs into the system, is this fixable?

Sounds like to power port input connector solder points have become loose or....
Worst case scenario, a broken connector...
It is fixable, the hardest part I'll say, is to get to it...

I was going to say the same thing...

It sounds like the solder tabs just need resoldered.

I made my own bit to remove the security screw by using a dremel on an old flathead screwdriver. It still took a lot of work to remove that way as well.

Another idea might be to install a jack into an external battery pack. It would be quite simple actually. They make screw in jacks so you'd just have to drill a hole to mount it. Just make sure that you wire it correctly or you might burn out the Nomads voltage regulator(see my earlier post on that)

Edit---
1 more thing...Are you sure it's the jack? I thought mine was going bad but it ended up being the plug of the adapter itself. The wires are loose in it or something and wiggling it does just as you described above.

pretty sure its the jack. I used two different plugs and the same thing happens, the jack is a little loose too

Im just asking because I'm selling the unit on ebay (keeping my nicer one), I'm claiming it can be fixed in the listing, just dont want to be a liar.
